I am trying to work thru some issues with the weapon
So my wife and went to a local gun show to look for a beginner 22 cal for her to learn on.
Saw the Firefly it looked good in her hand and she liked the weight lets get her shooting.
Later doing a little research I was definitely sold when I found out it was a Sig Mosquito knock off, that sealed the deal bc Sig makes great products.
Purchased the Firefly From Sportsman Warehouse (the Nationwide Chain). Purchased mid price name brand ammo and went to the range thats when the bad honeymoon started. The firefly stared jamming or what my partner calls stove piping.
Took it back to Sportsman Warehouse where they diagnosed it as a faulty lubrication issue from the manufacturer, so they lubed it up and I was months getting back to the range to shoot it.
Well same issue with the jamming I am really disappointed. I didn't tell my wife yet bc that gets in her head about a gun which is scary to her and now defective that has problem written all over it.
Going back to the range 11/13/23 with the best ammo I can buy and give it another try.
I hopefully will post great results will let you know .
Use only commercial grade ammunition in its original packaging that corresponds with the caliber of the gun. The
correct caliber is imprinted on the gun.
45 caliber brass ball full metal jacket (FMJ).
Never use reloaded, "refurbished", hand-loaded, or non standard ammunition of a different caliber.
Never use dirty, wet, corroded, bent, damaged, or oiled ammunition.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to adjust a semi-automatic gun to all loads. *Highly advise against using steel cased ammo due to excessive wear and tear from steel and lacquered coated rounds can cause premature carbon buildup and stoppages.
