Is a Hybrid 1911The FXH-45 Moxie is not your granddaddy's 1911. American Tactical Imports presents an all new take on the 1911 pistol with a polymer frame with two metal inserts that provide added stability and durability. This single action pistol has a 5" barrel surrounded by a 4140 steel slide which features a Parkerized finish for durability. You're sure to notice right away how ergonomic the Moxie's grip is, with finger grooves on the front strap and an extended beavertail. A removable top plate on the slide permits the addition of an ATI optic mount (not included) so you can add a red dot sight to the Moxie. The slide accepts Glock style front and rear sights, and the pistol is compatible with most standard 1911 parts and grips. If you want something besides just another all-steel 1911, the FXH-45 Moxie is right up your alley!

fxh-45 Moxie
I bought the hype and wish I had went with another RIA. Mine will not feed the first 3 rounds out of any magazine. After I took it apart it was apparent the feed ramps were never polished and still had raw tooling marks in both frame and barrel. Trigger pull had to be close to 10 lbs. A couple of hours with a dremel and felt wheel and polishing compound it will now manually cycle rounds without feeding problems. Junk gun but with a couple hundred more $$ and some quality internals it may end up being reliable however I will never be able to trust it.
Use only commercial grade ammunition in its original packaging that corresponds with the caliber of the gun. The
correct caliber is imprinted on the gun.
45 caliber brass ball full metal jacket (FMJ).
Never use reloaded, "refurbished", hand-loaded, or non standard ammunition of a different caliber.
Never use dirty, wet, corroded, bent, damaged, or oiled ammunition.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to adjust a semi-automatic gun to all loads. *Highly advise against using steel cased ammo due to excessive wear and tear from steel and lacquered coated rounds can cause premature carbon buildup and stoppages.
